Lotous Michalopoulou is a writer and filmmaker based in Kent, UK. Born in Thessaloniki, she moved to the UK in 2014 and now writes at the intersection of philosophy, identity, and lived experience.
She is currently studying for an MA in Film (with practice) at the University of Kent and is working on a short documentary to be released in September 2026. She holds a BA (Hons) in Arts and Humanities (Creative Writing and Philosophy) from the Open University.
Her work has appeared in Greek magazines such as *Strange*, *Yoga World*, and *Zenith*, and in the collective volume *Ghosts* (Agnosto). She is the author of an eco-therapy book, a novella, and a collected anthology of her diary-style writing, and co-wrote the award-winning short film *White Blood*.
Lotous is autistic, with ADHD, dyspraxia, dyslexia, and fibromyalgia. She spoke about herself in the third person as a child—and sometimes still does.
