Dear Future Historian

02/02/2020    02:02am    Canterbury   UK

Dear Future Historian:

First global palindrome day in 909 years!
Came home from work at 10:30pm and I’m sleepy since midnight, but I promised to myself I will be awake at 02:02. Not sure exactly what I had in mind; but, thanx to Netflix and wine, here I am. So… cheers, I guess.
May we watch series and drink wine in 03/03/3030.

Dear Future Historian:

I just love Uni! Now I have a referenceable, academic, source to explain the mess in my house.
‘It seems as if being out of their own homes has made them lose all interest in any housework.’ (It’s from a housewife’s diary, from the 2nd world war, about the ‘evacuees’).
Yet, my dear Diary, Freeman was again like: ‘Don't talk rubbish’.
But I totally make sense. I mean… Dah! So, I was like: ‘The mess, the un-decorated walls, the un-matched pillowcases, and the endless piles of dishes. Everything. I need my own house. That’s it. Mine! In my name. One I can paint the walls rainbow, and put frames on the walls, and my Tardis clock… on the wall. My own 4 walls. Need a roof too. Maybe then I will hoover behind the sofa. Maybe then I’ll bake you a cake from scratch. In my oven!’

Dear Future Historian:

A quiet day with the kids.
We went to Margate and saw a mesmerizing sunset. A flock of birds, colours, clouds, the sound of the waves.
I watched a video on YouTube, one of a psychology professor’s lectures. He pointed out how important is to ‘clean your room’. Then I remembered mum’s Feng Shui books.
‘Always be responsible and grateful, my dear’, mum ‘always' say… Right? I hate it when she says that. ‘Be present in the Here and Now’. Maybe she's right!! (Never thought I'd say that).

Dear Future Historian:
Today, scrolling on FB, I read an article about how much social media and press influence our opinions and life views.
So… Bravo, my dear diary, well done. I hate you!
Cause I get now what mum meant when she insisted that ‘keeping a diary is the only way to keep sane’.
Which also means I better go wash the dishes now.

I finished the dishes!!!
It took me like… forever.
I had headphones and was listening to an audio-book.
